Self-organized error correction in random unitary circuits with measurement

چکیده
Quantum systems evolving under unitary dynamics with a low rate of projective measurements can realize highly entangled steady state. However, the stability this phase against disentangling action has not been fully understood. Here, authors quantify ability to hide local quantum information, thereby relating its behavior as an emergent error-correcting code. The estimate tolerable measurement rate, above which code becomes unstable.

Random Error Models in Quantum Error Correction
We examine the performance of quantum error correcting codes subjected to random Haar distribution transformations of weight t. Rather than requiring correction of all errors, we require some high probability that a random error is corrected. We find that, for any integer i and arbitrarily high probability p < 1, there are codes which perfectly correct errors up to weight t and can correct erro...
متن کاملSelf-organized Balanced Resources in Random Networks with Transportation Bandwidths
We apply statistical physics to study the task of resource allocation in random networks with limited bandwidths for the transportation of resources along the links. We derive algorithms which searches the optimal solution without the need of a global optimizer. For networks with uniformly high connectivity, the resource shortage of a node becomes a well-defined function of its capacity. An eff...
متن کاملMeasurement-based quantum error correction
Measurement-based (or one-way) quantum error correction (MBQEC) is a method with the capability to detect and correct any errors present in a measurement-based quantum computation (MBQC) setup [1]. There are a variety of methods and protocols we can use to perform QEC, although few that have been successfully implemented experimentally [2, 3]. An MBQC protocol requires a resource state and will...
متن کاملPhysical Optimization of Quantum Error Correction Circuits
Quantum error correcting codes have been developed to protect a quantum computer from decoherence due to a noisy environment. In this paper, we present two methods for optimizing the physical implementation of such error correction schemes. First, we discuss an optimal quantum circuit implementation of the smallest error-correcting code (the three bit code). Quantum circuits are physically impl...
متن کاملAutomatic Error Correction of Tri-State Circuits
Boolean equivalence checking is a well established approach for verifying combinational circuits and is on the verge of becoming an integrated part of the design cycle. In [12], we have presented a method for performing automatic error correction in combinational circuits if equivalence checking fails. However, like all other automatic error correction techniques proposed in the past, it cannot...
